Paintbox was founded in 2006 with the sole aim of paying tribute to the timeless music of Pink Floyd. Over the years, the lineup has undergone several changes, eventually reaching a stable formation that now counts nine members.

Throughout the years, the band has performed full-scale themed events, playing in their entirety the most iconic Pink Floyd albums: The Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, The Division Bell, Pulse, Live at Pompeii, Meddle, and the Atom Heart Mother Suite.

Paintbox has also collaborated extensively, both in Italy and abroad, with musicians who took part in Pink Floyd’s and Roger Waters’ tours.

Among them are Durga McBroom and Gary Wallis, respectively backing vocalist and percussionist for Pink Floyd from 1987 to 1995, Roberta Freeman, Pink Floyd backing vocalist in 1987, PJ Olsson, lead singer of Alan Parsons, and Graham Broad, longtime drummer of Roger Waters.
